As the saying goes, "when it rains, it pours." Elliot's been talking up a storm, and at long last, we can actually identify some of what she's saying. She's got three things that seem to always be on her mind:
1. for the last two mornings she's woken saying "momma outside" (clearly a portland child b/c she was saying outside before momma)
2. Bubbles....pop
3. Apple (she makes the monkey sign reaches her hand up and says apple (for those Dr. Suess fans...you might know she's trying to say "hand picks apple" from the book Hands, Hands, Fingers, Thumb
We hope now that's she getting the hang of this talking thing...there will be lots more to say. Can't wait to hear what she's actually thinking.
Another busy but fun filled weekend. We had a birthday party, swimming and a dinner date with Evan! Even though Elliot bonked her head on the shape sorter and got a giant knot, she didn't seem any worse for the wear. Thanks to Brenden and Rachelle for coming over...can't wait to do it again soon.
But the most fun for mom and dad this weekend was a visit from our good friend Mark! Mark is headed to The Dalles for a few days to start work on a new skate park there, but the upside for us is that we're going to get to see him several times over the next couple of weeks. It's been way too long and we're so happy he's here and got to meet Elliot!
