After a month of Happy Day parties, it was time for Elliot's big day. We held the party in the same spot as last year and thankfully, this year they showed up to open the door (because we did have rain). Grayson and Kendall did a great job organizing games and activities for the little kids while the bigger kids just ran around the gym. I know Elliot had a total blast and hopefully the rest of the gang slept well after all that running around! I know I did. Whew...I was exhausted by 7pm last night.
Special thanks to Rachelle who was the genius behind the cupcakes. Without her, we we'd have had a sheet cake from Costco! ;-) And of course to Aaron who ran around taking photos all day. His amazing work will be featured in an upcoming post, but here are few pics from the day (there will be no wondering which photos he took - they're beautiful). And to everyone else who helped us clean up and lug stuff in and out of the car!
And really, just wanted to thank everyone who came out on a Sunday (especially those who were dying to see the Bears/Packers game - I know there were a few of you). We are so blessed with so many amazing friends and with no immediate local family, it was sure wonderful to have you all here. I know that Elliot loved her happy day (not to mention her new tu tu which we had to pry off her before going to bed)!
