We had a great adventure when the Neves clan was in town. We attempted to make it to Timberline Lodge for lunch. Little did we know the Dodge Caliber would get us to the top of the mountain, but it certainly wasn't equipped to be there. The best part was Teagin waking up to a snowy winter wonderland (her eyes popped open and she said "WOW" as she caught her first glimpse of snow). Through much trial and tribulation, we were able to navigate our way off the snowy, ice covered mountain and made it back to Government Camp no worse for the wear (maybe I shouldn't speak for April on that front)! Course once we got down, we discovered the car had a flat tire so David and Keeling spent some time fixing that after we had lunch at the Ice Axe Pub while April, Teagin, Elliot and I played in the snow. Teagin even made her first snowball to throw at her daddy!
We also spent a great evening with another cousin Jenna, Zack, Reyna, Gavin and our good friends Lori, Jon, Rhianna and Hazel. The kids all had a blast while the grown ups had a chance to visit.
This past weekend, Grandpa Miller paid us a visit from Chicago to meet his first grandchild. We had a great visit, spent some time down on NW 23 rd shopping, eating and sightseeing. We hope he'll come back and visit this summer when the weather is a little better!
The out of town company dies down for the next several weeks, but we are looking forward to a visit from Nana and Papa Neves in mid December.
