Berries, Berries, and More Berries

While berry picking wasn't the only thing we did this weekend, we sure did  a lot of it.  We kicked off the weekend early with a trip to Kruger Farm for their Thursday concerts.  Our first of the summer, but we plan to spend many, many more Thursdays there.   We were joined by Rachelle, Evan and Victoria.  the kids had a blast and we ended up with 6 or 7 pints of berries - the result, a delicious berry cobbler.  And Evan and Elliot had a blast dancing with the band.

On Saturday, we hit the pool for  some swimming lessons and then off to the farmer's market.  That night, we grabbed a picnic and headed to the zoo with Sanchez (and her extended) family.

Sunday morning we hit Sauvie Island for more berries with pals Olivia and Evan (are you noticing a trend...we were so happy to see Rachelle and Evan so many times this weekend).  It was raining in Portland which worked out great for us b/c we think it deterred people from heading out.  But thankfully for us it was totally nice on the island and we had the orchards almost all to ourselves.   And the best part of the trip, the bouncy house!  The kids loved that thing, bouncing around for at leads 30 mins.  I think it was good naps all around!
