Aunt T....Brings Strawberry Shortcake

Kind of writing these posts out of order so forgive me!  Before the holiday parties set in, we got a last minute surprise visit from Aunt T!  Who knew the cheapest weekend to fly from Chicago to PDX is the second weekend in December! Mark your calendars mid west relatives!  Course Tiffany may get first dibs on any future visits ;-)

Elliot loves when her Aunt T comes!  She can't get enough of her.  And this year, Aunt T went above and beyond with some special XMas treats for both Elliot (and Mom! - thank you for my awesome bday gift).


For those of us who grew up in the 80s you no doubt remember that cute little redhead doll that smelled just like strawberries...and of course, who could forget her blueberry friend.  Yes, you guessed it, Elliot got her very own Strawberry Shortcake and all her gal pals including Blueberry Muffin, Plum Pudding (my personal favorite), Orange Blossom and Lemon Meringue.   Elliot fondly refers them as "her girls."   So one day shortly after Aunt T left, I went to pick up a blanket from the floor, only to find Elliot had put Strawberry Shortcake down for a nap - I accidentally woke her up!

As usual, we wish Aunt T lived closer, but we were so happy to have her and hope she plans to come back again soon!!
